Object Detail

Brief Description
Black and white photograph of Australian cyclist Chris Wheeler and an unidentified team member inside the 1936 Olympic Village. They are standing next to each other with their hands behind their backs and are wearing shorts, shoes and short sleeved collared tops that have an image of the Australian and Olympic Flags on them. They are standing in front of the open garden door of their accommodation house. The building is probably house no 43, named “Haus Worms”, as one of the houses used by the Australian Olympic Team, and the house where Wheeler stayed for the duration of the Games.
