Brief Description
Framed oil portrait painting of Captain Charles (Charlie) G. Butler. He is depicted as an elderly gentleman wearing an eye patch. The portrait shows him wearing a possible Melbourne Cricket Club tie with shirt, vest and jacket. The background is dark red in colour. Frame is gold-coloured and it is unglazed. The artist has signed and dated the portrait in the lower right corner. There are two labels on the back of the work with information relating to the work and the artist. Captain Butler served in the 2'14th Battalion in the Australian Infantry Force in World War Two and is a Melbourne Cricket Club member.
