Brief Description
Olympic Games postcard. Featuring a black and white photograph of two uniformed
members of the Jugendehrendienst (Honorary Youth Service) at the Olympic Village in Berlin, 1936. The uniform includes white caps, jackets and shorts with long socks. The boys give directions to a man on their right. The man wears hat and coat. A log sauna building is in the background. Named “Finnische Sauna” (Finnish Sauna) it was a gift to the Finnish team by the German authorities but open to all athletes. It was located next to an artificial lake as seen in the background. Text on reverse printed in German.
