They are wearing dark shorts and jumpers with light coloured stripes in the cuffs. In the foreground, left, is a man in a bowler hat with a pipe suspended from his mouth. A gabled house and trees are in the background. Inscription at lower edge, handwritten in pencil, "North Suburban Cycling Club, Essendon, 1902 (Jack Evans)".
