Brief Description
An image of the final moments from heat 1 of the 100-yards sprint at the Australian Women's Track and Field Championships, Perth, 1954. Victoria's Winsome Cripps has just touched the finish line, whilst Raema James of NSW (far right), and Leila Smart of WA (second from right), advance to second and third place respectively. Photograph was housed in a brown paper bag with pencil inscription, "Mrs Dennis / Elwood Central".
