Brief Description
Booklet entitled "OLYMPIC GAMES/ MELBOURNE/ AUSTRALIA. 22Nov-8Dec. 1956", produced by the Australian News and Information Bureau for the 1956 Olympic Organising Committee. Cover is blue and white with graphics depicting a gold flaming torch with its base on Melbourne in a green map of Australia. Inside has a printed history of the Games, a map of Melbourne, an official programme of events and black and white photographs and descriptions of venues, the Olympic village and Australian athletes.
