Brief Description
Silver plated trophy, jug-shaped with high ornate handle, hinged lid and removable china insert. The trophy is intricately engraved with birds and Japanese figures and the lid tall and dome shaped with a circular apex. Inscription near the lower edge under the spout, engraved "BARWON / REGATTA / 1884 / SENIOR FOUR / WON BY / VICTORIA R.C. / F.J. EDWARDS / Bow"; underneath, engraved, "PAT.FEB 24 1880 / 1964 / MFD & PLATED BY / REED & BARTON.......".
