Object Detail

Brief Description
The two-piece box, originally housed a Kodak 'Brownie' movie camera, made specifically for home movie production with Cine-Kodak 8mm film, and still containing the price tag, instruction booklet, and exposure guide. Later, two instruction manuals and a letter from Kodak Australia, all regarding the use of the later Kodachrome II 8mm film, were added to the contents of the box.The camera (and its original accessories) was manufactured in 1953, and was used by the Corones family during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. The camera has, assumedly since purchase, been kept in a synthetic leather carry case.
