Brief Description
Newspaper clipping; features two photographs from the 1921 Australian Swimming Championships Carnival, held at the St Kilda Baths. The first is of seven swimmers diving into the water from a pier; the second is of two men, one in a suit, one in a robe, looking at a document. Captions: "THE START OF THE MILE CHAMPIONSHIP, WON BY FRANK BEAUREPAIRE, IS SHOWN AT THE / TOP. BELOW IS MR. G. MAYNARD, HON. SECRETARY OF THE VICTORIAN SWIMMING ASSO- / CIATION, EXPLAINING THE PROGRAMME TO KEALOHA." Handwritten inscription in left and right margins: "March 1921". Lines have been made around the images with a blue pencil.
