Brief Description
Five elements: newspaper clipping, four of; note, one of; all four clippings report on the 1947 annual Three Miles Yarra Handicap Race; three very similar articles from 8 February 1947 issue of unidentified newspapers report on the three scratch competitors in a starting field of 110, one of which was Ivan Stedman. One article includes two photographs of Stedman, and is in three parts, pinned at upper left corner. Fourth article, titled "Mile Swim Gave Winner / Breakfast Appetite" from 10 February 1947 issue of unidentified newspaper reports on Alex Manderson, winner of the event. All articles have handwritten notations, some underlining. Notepaper has handwritten account of race times for the 1947 and 1948 Three Miles races.
