Brief Description
A typed letter composed on 28 September, 1990, by the Melbourne Bid for the 1996 Olympic Games committee member, Ken Cato, to fellow member, Tom McCullough, in the wake of Melbourne's loss in the final I.O.C. vote. Attached is an enamelled lapel pin, created by Coca-Cola Japan, pre-empting a Melbourne victory. The pin features the Olympic rings emblem, surrounded by the text: 100/1896-1996/MELBOURNE/COCA-COLA/TOKYO/SEPTEMBER, 1990.
