Brief Description
Silver plated cup on brown bakelite stand presented to Jack Johnson for beating Young Frisco in the Light Heavy Weight of Australia Championship in 1943. The cup has slender raised handles cut in an angular shape and a silver plated lid with raised knob at centre. Inscription on one side, engraved, "LIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT/CHAMPIONSHIP/AUSTRALIA/JACK JOHNSON v YOUNG FRISCO/WON BY/JACK JOHNSON/21.5.43./Presented by Eli Phillips. Esq."
