Brief Description
An unpainted hickory wood javelin, originally featuring a stainless steel head. There is a white and blue twined cord grip. Immediately above is painted a red band, which partially conceals the manufacturer's brand mark. Just below grip are two stickers, reading 'No. 101-800gr', and 'MADE IN FINLAND'. Javelin used during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games.
