Brief Description
Banner featuring printed image (detail) on fabric of a watercolour painting that depicts a cricket ground with a match in progress. Scene depicts first international cricket match played in Australia which occurred at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between the English XI Cricket Team (also known as Stephenson's Eleven) and the Victorian XVIII Cricket Team in January 1862. This display banner was made in the 1980s and features a hinged bar along the top and two separate bars along the lower edge, allowing it to be folded.
