A 12-page document featuring black print on plain white paper, entitled: 'XVIE OLYMPIADE/1956/PLAN/POUR/MELBOURNE'. It is a French translation of the text featured in a prospectus published in 1949 by the Melbourne Invitation Committee, (with support from relevant societies, councils, local, state, and federal governments), for the I.O.C., proposing the city of Melbourne as the place to host the 1956 Games.
