Brief Description
Two identical round blue and grey badges, plastic- covered metal. Badges depict Jack Dempsey and Georges Carpentier, likely to promote their heavyweight boxing bout, held on July 2 1921 in Jersey City. Text, "IS IM" is printed above and below the two men's headshots, one upside down, each with "CHAMPION" printed above. Badges have been pinned to an envelope, addressed to A Grieves of Melbourne, postmarked 22 Feb 1947.

Man on the left, Jack Dempsey, on the right Georges Carpentier. The latter fought Jack for his heavyweight title in the 20s.
