Photograph of Charles Kingsford-Smith (aviator) and a group of men and young boys gathered around a plane and radio equipment. A handwritten inscription on the reverse reads, "[illegible] air to ground / radio communication / being fitted to early passenger / flights between mainland and / Tasmania. / Received from / W.H. Sweeting / later manager of 7zh Hobart/ pre-war".
