Object Detail

Brief Description
Original cartoon by Peter Nicholson, drawn with pen and ink or watercolour paint, housed in a card mount. The drawing is set on a beach, with a game of cricket occupying the foreground. To the left, a small child holding a bat has just been bowled out, and on the right, another child is celebrating with both arms in the air. Beside him a large man standing as umpire has called "NO BALL". A printed caption along the lower area reads "Rule 29 (b) iii / If the bowler bowls too fast to a younger sibling, the parent/umpire may call 'No Ball'". The drawing is signed and dated in the lower left corner.
