Brief Description
Large postcard album; spine bound in brown leather; front and back covers bound in card with leather-look finish; gold decoration with "POSTCARDS" and border embossed on front cover. Pages are dark brown card with pre-cut slits for insertion of postcards; 3 postcards per page, all pages are full, both sides. Album was used by Henry Thomas (Harry) Morris to collect postcards during the trip to the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. Postcards include images from Berlin, Prague, Venice, Paris, London, Gibraltar, India, Sri Lanka, Fiji, New Zealand, Hawaii, USA. Some postcards were evidently photographed by or for Morris (examples pg 90-91, 151-152). Some pages towards end of album are empty or have available spaces.
