Brief Description
Black and white photograph of American soldiers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground during World War II. The picture shows a medal presentation ceremony in front of the scoreboard and Concrete Stand. In the foreground, senior officers stand behind a table with flag bearers on either side. The soldiers about to be decorated stand at ease in two rows. One of them is being presented with his medal. Several hundred soldiers are watching the ceremony from the stand behind.
