Brief Description
Aerial photograph of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, looking from the southwest across the railway yard, the MCG and towards Richmond. The Southern Stand is completed and looking quite new, suggesting the picture was taken in around 1937. There is no event happening at the ground. The photograph is mounted on thin card, with a type-written note attached below that reads, "AERIAL SURVEY DIVISION - BROWN & DUREAU LIMITED, MELBOURNE". An ink stamp on the reverse reads "COPYRIGHT / BROWN & DUREAU Ltd / AIR SURVEY DEPT. / PRINT No. 5.24". Reg number inscribed bottom left reverse.
