Object Detail

Brief Description
A four page card document with yellow and black cover, opening out into a display album with circular holes spaced throughout, intended for the insertion of thirty-three bottle tops. Distributed by the Pepsi Cola Company, in anticipation of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the album contains a concise history of the ancient and modern Olympic games, with a focus on Australia's involvement in the modern games. Below each of the holes, is a description of an Olympic sport. A bottle top, distributed in Pepsi and Mirinda soft-drinks, featuring the appropriate Olympic sport illustration on its underside, is supposed to be inserted through the relevant hole. Only 29 bottle tops feature with this artefact. Album cover features the illustration of a javelin thrower. Inscription reads: 'SOUVENIR ALBUM/OLYMPICS/TOKYO 1964'. 'Pepsi' and 'Mirinda' logos also feature.

Hello, I was wondering if you have more detailed images of the bottle caps you are missing in this set? I have located some caps myself and am interested in which one your set is missing?
