Brief Description
Sash brooch - a winged silver shield - won by Matt Chappell. Stamped and engraved lettering on the shield reads 'DUNLOP ROAD RACE/ AUSTRALASIAN/ ROAD BLUE RIBAND & BADGE/ PRESENTED BY DUNLOP RUBBER CO/ TO RIDER ESTABLISHING FASTEST TIME/ Won by M. CHAPPELL/ TIME 7HRS. 46 MIN. 27 SEC./ OCT.3RD 1908'. Pin and hook clasp on the reverse is missing.
