Brief Description
Circular commemorative medal from the Seoul Olympic Games. The medal features an image of a building, mountains, clouds, birds and sun. The reverse, displays an Olympic logo and Olympic rings, and text 'XXIV OLYMPIAD/ SEOUL 1988'. The case is square in shape with rounded corners, with a deep blue/purple velvet outer lining, and gold metallic rimming. A recessed blue/purple velvet base features on the inside for placement of the medallion. On the padded white lining on the inside of the lid, is printed the Seoul 1988 emblem with the inscription: GAMES OF THE/XXIVTH OLYMPIAD/SEOUL 1988. A white ribbon runs across the lower left corner.
