Brief Description
Octagonal commemorative medallion from the Seoul Olympic Games. The medal features an archer on horseback, the Olympic rings, and text 'XXIVth OLYMPIAD/ SEOUL 1988'. The reverse displays images of an Olympic logo; of signatures of the President of the International Olympic Committee, Juan Samaranch, and the President of the Seoul Olympic Organising Committee, Seh-Jik Park; and of the main Olympic Stadium. The case is octagonal in shape, with a blue velvet outer lining. A recessed blue velvet base features on the inside for placement of the medallion. On the padded white lining on the inside of the lid, is printed the Seoul 1988 emblem and logo. Across the lower left corner is a red, white and blue ribbon.
