Brief Description
Leather case for sash, presented to William Bruce Esq, a member of the Australian cricket team visiting England in 1893. Tan leather case with hinged lid, red leather lining and metal front catch. Embossed on surface in gold is a shield and text which reads, "COLOURS PRESENTED / To WILLIAM BRUCE, Esq. / MEMBER OF THE / AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM / VISITING ENGLAND 1893 / By SAMUEL HORDERN, Esq. / COMMODORE OF THE / PRINCE ALFRED YACHT CLUB, SYDNEY, N.S.W.".
