Brief Description
Robert Ingpen watercolour depicting Australian Test batsman, Donald Bradman, walking from a ground. The artist's image number and text are handwritten below the design: '79 [circled] Bradman. MCG 3rd TEST (ASHES) January 1947'. The work is signed and dated by the artist. This item was a sample figure for design approval for images to be incorporated into a tapestry, commissioned by the Melbourne Cricket Club, to celebrate 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. The image here is similar to the watercolour titled, 'DON BRADMAN RETIRES', which is included in the tapestry.
