Brief Description
Original Robert Ingpen watercolour depicting Australian Rules footballer, Jack Mueller (1915-2001). The artist's image number - 72 - and subject's name and club are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Mueller played 216 games and kicked 378 goals for the Melbourne Football Club (1934-50). He won the club's Best & Fairest award three times, represented Victoria four times, and played in four premiership teams.
