Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's watercolour image of Australian Rules footballer, Darrel Baldock. The artist's image number - 108 - and subject's name and club, are handwritten below the design, with the date '1965'. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. 'Doc' Baldock, also known as 'Mr Magic', played 119 games and kicked 237 goals for St Kilda Football Club between 1962 and 1968. He was captain of the 1966 Premiership side, and coached St Kilda from 1987 to 1989.
