Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's watercolour image of Australian Rules footballer, Bob Rose (1928 - 2003). The artist's image number - 110 - and subject's name and club, are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Rose played 152 games and kicked 214 goals for Collingwood FC (1946-55). He was a Premiership player, Best & Fairest winner, Victorian State player and All-Australian. He later coached the club to three Grand Finals.
