Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian batsman, Robert Neil Harvey. The artist's original image number - 91 - and subject's name and country, are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. In 79 Tests (1948-63), Harvey scored 6149 runs - including 21 centuries - at an average of 48.41. In 2000, Harvey was inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame.
