Brief Description
A tin umpire's whistle, with wooden pea, featuring stamped lettering that reads 'THE ACME THUNDERER'. This whistle was used by Victorian Football League umpire Jack Elder between 1908 and 1922. Elder umpired every finals game between 1909 and 1913. When he retired he had umpired a total of 39 finals and 10 Grand Finals.
