Object Detail

Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Rules footballer, Royce Hart. The artist's original image number - 120 - and name of the subject and team are handwritten below the design, with the year '1967' and the name of the Geelong player - Peter Walker - shown in the image. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Hart, a high-marking centre-half forward, played 187 games and kicked 369 goals for the Richmond Football Club from 1967 to 1977. He was a member of four Premiership sides: 1967,1969, 1973 and 1974.
