Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Rules footballer, Robert John "Bob" Skilton. The artist's original image number - 119 - and name of the subject and team are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid references, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Skilton played 237 games for South Melbourne, winning nine Best & Fairest awards and three Brownlow Medals in a career from 1956 to 1971.
