Brief Description
Armband of thick, off-white canvas fabric with a metal buckle affixed to one end and a cotton tab at the other, used to fasten the band to the upper arm. The text printed on the front, in green and blue dye, reads "XVITH OLYMPIAD / OFFICIAL / ATHLETICS". The armband was worn by an Official at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne.
