Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of West Indian fast bowler, Joel Garner. The artist's original image number - 147 - and subject's name and team are handwritten below the design, with pencilled dates '1976-1987'. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which has been signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Garner took 259 wickets at an average of 20.97 during 58 Tests.
