Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian leg-spin bowler, Shane Warne. The artist's original image number - 178 - and subject's name and country are handwritten below the design, with a pencilled year '1992' - the year of Warne's first Test. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid lines and references, folds over the artwork which has been signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In 2000, Warne was named one of Wisden's Five Cricketers of the [20th] Century.
