Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Test batsman, and captain, Greg Chappell. The artist's original image number - 142 - and subject's name and country are handwritten below the design, with pencilled dates '1970-1984'. A sheet of tracing paper, with grid references, folds over the artwork which has been signed and dated by the artist. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In 88 Tests, Chappell made 7,110 runs - including 24 centuries - at an average of 53.86, and took 47 wickets and 122 catches. In 2002, Chappell was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
