Brief Description
Photocopy of a handwritten declaration; from the MCC to the English touring cricket team of 1862. Printed in black ink on white paper. Refers to the handing over of a purse of one hundred sovereigns to the English team and an invitation to return again. Players names written in calligraphy at top of page. Verso object pencil note "Received at the MCC Museum on the 13/9/2001 Given by Alex Robertson". In ink (different handwriting) also verso object "I have original/ in England".
