Brief Description
Coloured print mounted on cream card. Depicts thirteen standing and five sitting men in different coloured sporting uniforms; striped or unpatterned jumpers, pants, socks and black shoes. Colours range from red and blue, black and white, red and white (unpatterned), blue and white (unpatterened). Several have crest with three lions on their jumpers (the badge of the England soccer team). The players are all famous English football (soccer) players of the era. A soccer ball and rugby ball are depicted in the foreground. The reason for the positioning of the rugby ball is unknown since no rugby players feature. The player seated in the middle holding the ball is Norman Bailey (Clapham Rovers) the England captain.
