Brief Description
Reproduction print of a painting mounted in a black wooden frame depicting full length portrait of a cricketer (W G Grace) wearing all white with a striped cap and leg pads. Printed signature of artist at lower left of image. Beneath image printed inscription in blue ink reads, "WITH lifted toe and M.C.C. cap. "The Doctor," "WG.,"/ "The Old Man" - was ever sportsman so benicknamed/before? Or ever nicknamed but as a mark of affection?". Printed signature of Grace at lower right corner, "Yours truly / W.G. Grace"'.
