Brief Description
Black and white photograph of section of the 85,795 crowd at the VFL Grand Final match between Geelong and Essendon at the MCG on 29 September 1951. Features three women in front row with a poster hung on the picket fence. The poster features a caricature of a cat signed by Geelong Football Club team. Apparently this was one of the first times that this type of display was hung on the fence at the MCG. The women wave small pennants and hold home-made Geelong mascots.
