Object Detail

Brief Description
Black and white photograph of a cricket match being played at the village of Leigh in Kent. The picture shows an idyllic scene of village cricket, with a large oak tree in the foreground and spectators sitting on a bench underneath, cricket on the green, and thatched, Tudor houses beyond, with a medieval church to the right. It is hard to determine the date that the photo was taken, and the only clue is a car which is parked on the far side of the oval, which seems to be pre-World War II.
