Brief Description
Discoloured newspaper page, with prominent black and white aerial photo of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The stands are full of spectators and the word "WELCOME" has been spelt out across the oval with six vertical lines above and below it. The printed black text reads, in part, "CHILDREN'S WELCOME TO THEIR QUEEN / Wildly excited school children spelled out the word "welcome" on the Melbourne Cricket Ground...". Reverse has various articles printed on it in black printed text that reads, in part, "Secret talks with Mau / Kenya war end / now in / sight....".
