Brief Description
A special edition of the 'The Sun News-Pictorial' newspaper, released the day before the coronation of Princess Elizabeth as HM Queen Elizabeth II. Released in a staple bound tabloid-sized magazine format, the issue features both colour and black and white images and is 32 pages long (cover inclusive). On the front cover is a colour photo of Elizabeth in her royal princess attire. The text above reads, "SPECIAL CORONATION ISSUE / The Sun / NEWS-PICTORIAL / MELBOURNE, MONDAY, JUNE 1, 1953". At the lower left corner of the front page is the text, "Supplement to The Sun News-Pictorial, June 1, 1953".
