Brief Description
Thin cardboard ticket, off-white with green, blue and black printing. Image of Olympic Rings and torch with printed text that reads, in part, 'MAIN STADIUM / MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND / XVI OLYMPIAD, MELBOURNE....'. In the bottom left-hand corner is the seat designation 'D 1' and the date 'Nov. 22 1956'. Ticket has been ripped along a perforation down the right-hand side. Top corner features a map of Australia, an athlete running with a torch and the Olympic rings. A floor plan of the stadium seating is printed on the reverse.
