Text along top reads Melbourne Cricket Ground, shows the R.S.S.I.L.A. shield emblem (now known as the R.S.L.) and the date 'APRIL 15, 1939.'. Printed inscription reads, in part 'Official / Souvenir / Programme / of / CRICKET MATCH / between / The Original A.I.F. Team / (Captained by H.L. Collins) / and Contemporary International XI. / (Captained by Clem Hill)'. Contents features articles, advertisements and players' cricket history. Some players have signed the front cover in purple pencil.
