Brief Description
A certificate presented on watermarked cream paper. Text printed in black, with the Melbourne City Council coat of arms at the top edge and a gold seal with two blue ribbon tails at the lower edge. Presented to the Melbourne Cricket Club by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, in recognition of the contribution made by the club in sponsoring the flags which were hung around Melbourne as part of the unsuccessful bid for the 1996 Olympic Games.
