Brief Description
Copy of a cartoon by Wells with the copied Dymo tape lettering 'MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB 1927'. The work depicts the Melbourne Football Club trainer, Fred Pleass, as a gardener and a number of players as flowers. The players portrayed are (left to right) Chadwick, Taylor, McConville, Johnson, Moyes, Davidson, Mollison, Davie, Tymms and Vine. Note verso pencilled '758' which caused display copy to be mixed up with original object.
