Brief Description
Type-written letter from S.N. Venkatesh, in which he explains a gift to the MCC of two grains of inscribed rice (M7459.1) as "an unusual gift from an Indian Cricket Lover on the occasion of 'World Cup Cricket' which is going to be hosted by your country". The letter goes on to offer to inscribe the names of the players participating in the World Cup, but insists that there is no need for "remuneration".
